Field Hockey

Spring Field Hockey Clinic 2024

Easton High School Coaches Kim Gibbons-Neff and Katie Spies will be teaching the fundamentals of field hockey for a six-week clinic this spring! This clinic will be held outdoors at the Talbot County Community Center Fields and offered for youth in grades K-8th who are interested in learning and improving their field hockey skills. The clinic is for all skill levels!

All players will need athletic wear, water, stick, cleats, shin guards & mouth guard.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 21st

  • Fee: $60 per participant ($10 Late Fee)
  • Who: Current Grade Players K-8th
  • Clinic Runs: Tuesdays, April 9th-May 14th
  • Where: Talbot County Community Center Fields

    • Grades K-2nd: 5:00-6:00pm
    • Grades 3rd-5th: 6:00-7:00pm

Fall Field Hockey League 2023

Our field hockey league is available for players in 1st-8th grades. No field hockey experience is necessary. Participants in grades 1st-2nd will practice one evening a week and grades 3rd-5th and 6th-8th will practice two evenings a week. All practices and games are held at the Talbot County Community Center Fields. Games are on Saturdays. Players need athletic wear, cleats, stick, shin guards, mouth guard.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, August 10th

Fee: $70 per player ($20 Late Fee)
Who: Grades 1-8th
Where: TCCC fields
Practices Begin: The week of August 29th
Games Begin: September 9th

Easton Middle School Field Hockey Team

  • Easton Middle School Students Only
  • Separate team from the TCPR Fall Field Hockey League. Players can participate on the EMS team AND the league! Practices will not overlap.
  • Practices at Easton Middle School
  • Season is September-October
  • Home games at EMS or Talbot County Community Center
  • Away games at Various Local Schools
  • Players will need a stick, cleats, black shin guards, & mouth guard. Jerseys will be provided.

Youth Basketball Clinic 2024 – Summer

Coach Kentrell Ricketts will be leading our Summer Basketball Clinic. The clinic is for boys and girls of all levels who want to learn or extend their on-court skills. Basic fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, offense, defense, and footwork will be emphasized as well as proper conditioning for the sport of basketball during this 6-week clinic.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, June 19th

  • Fee: $60 per participant ($10 late fee)
  • Who: Grades 1st-8th

  • Dates: Wednesday, July 3rd -August 7th

Volleyball

Youth Volleyball Clinic 2024 – Summer

Join us in learning the proper technique of volleyball fundamentals such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, and rules of the game. Easton High School’s Assistant Coach Rebekah Byrnes will be leading our clinic by conducting drills, physically distanced games, and other activities to help participants improve hand-eye coordination, footwork, agility, and communication with an emphasis on “FUN”damentals and teamwork.

Start Smart Soccer – Spring 2024

Join us this spring for a 6-week introduction to the world’s most popular sport! Start Smart Soccer is designed to ignite the passion for soccer, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for kids as they take their first steps into the world of dribbling, passing, and scoring!

Indoor Soccer Clinic 2024 – Summer

Keep your soccer skills fresh and learn new skills at our 6-week Indoor Summer Soccer Clinic at the Talbot County Community Center. Coach led conducting drills, games, and other activities to help participants improve hand-foot coordination, agility, speed, and game play. For all skill levels!

PRESCHOOL Dance (Ages 3-4)

Featuring creative movement, beginning Ballet terminology, and games to all of our favorite Bluey/Disney Junior music.

  • Fee: $65
  • Attire: Dancers should wear comfortable athletic or dance attire along with Ballet slippers or bare feet.
  • Session 1: Fun with Bluey- Mondays, June 17th-July 15th
  • Session 2: Fun with Disney Junior- Wednesdays, June 19th-July 17th

MERMAID BALLET (Ages 4-6)

Class focuses on Ballet movement and vocabulary while enjoying our favorite Mermaid stories, music, and activities.

HIP HIP WITH THE TROLLS (Ages 4-6)

Fun, energetic class to our favorite songs from the Trolls movies.

IN MY DANCE ERA (Ages 7-12)

Class features Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop dance styles to your favorite Taylor Swift songs. Crafts and activities included.

OUTTA THIS WORLD HIP HOP (Ages 7-12)

High energy class focusing on the basics of Hip Hop movement all to an Outta this World playlist.

Ballet’s Classic Tales (Ages 7-12)

This class will feature Ballet movement and vocabulary while exploring some of Ballet’s classic stories: Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, The Firebird, & Cinderella, thru books, activities, and short video clips.

  • Fee: $75
  • Attire: Dancers should wear comfortable athletic or dance attire along with Ballet slippers or bare feet.
  • When: Wednesdays, June 19th-July 17th
  • Time: 7:00-7:45pm

Explore age appropriate creative movement and encourage small and large motor skill development through music and dance! Join us for this fun morning dance class with To the Pointe Dance Company instructor, Bri Garland.

    • Music and Ballet movement featuring our first Disney Princesses: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, & Jasmine.

    • Music and Ballet movement featuring our next set of Disney Princesses: Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna & Elsa.

    • Music and Ballet movement featuring our next set of Disney Princesses & a Fairy: Moana, Raya, Asha, Elena, Sofia, Tinker Bell.

    • The Heroes- Hip Hop basics featuring our favorite Superhero songs.

    • The Villains – Music and Ballet Movement featuring the Villains of Ballet Stories: The Firebird – Kotschei, The Nutcracker – The Mouse King, Swan Lake – von Rothbart & Odile, and Sleeping Beauty – Carabosse. 
  • Winter Session: January 17th-February 21st
    • The Fairies- Music and Ballet Movement featuring the Fairies of Ballet Stories: The Nutcracker – The Sugar Plum Fairy, Sleeping Beauty – The Lilac Fairy, Cinderella – The Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter Fairies.
  • Spring 2025: March 7th-April 11th
    • The Queens- Music and Ballet Movement featuring the Queens of Ballet Stories: The Nutcracker – The Snow Queen, Alice in Wonderland – The Queen of Hearts, Swan Lake – The Swan Queen (Odette),  A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Titania (Queen of the Fairies), plus Catherine de Medici – The Queen of France in the 1500s, known as the Godmother of Ballet.

  • $75 per session

  • Attire: Comfortable athletic or dance attire and a clean pair of sneakers, hair should be pulled back

    • Spooky Season- Hip Hop basics with a spooky music theme.

    • Disney Channel Favorites- Hip Hop basics with music from our favorite Disney Channel Movies.

    • The Heroes- Hip Hop basics with music from our favorite hero shows & movies.

Recreation Program Information

We make the registration process easy by offering various ways to register for our programs! We offer online registration, registration by mail, registration by fax, registration by e-mail, or you can simply stop by to see us. If you choose to complete a registration form by fax or e-mail we will contact you for payment once we receive the registration form. Registration forms will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 4:30 PM.

If Talbot County Parks and Recreation cancels a program for any reason, a full refund will be given. If you withdraw three business days prior to the start of the program, you will receive a full refund. No refund will be given if you cancel after the program or event has taken place. No cash refunds will be given. Refunds take 14-21 days to be processed or a credit will be added to your account.
