Field Hockey

Fall Field Hockey League 2021

Our field hockey league is available for girls in 1st-8th grades. No field hockey experience is necessary. Girls in grades 1st-2nd will practice one evening a week and girls in grades 3rd-8th will practice two evenings a week. All practices and games are held at the Talbot County Community Center Fields. Games are on Saturdays. Players need a stick, shin guards, mouth guard.

Fee: $70 per player ($20 Late Fee)
Who: Grades 1-8th
Where: TCCC fields
Registration Deadline: Thursday, August 12th
Practices Begin: The week of August 30th
Games Begin: September 11th

Easton High School Field Hockey Clinic

Easton High School players will be instructing recreational-aged players on essential field hockey skills. Players will be divided up by age. No fee, donations accepted. Pre-registration is encouraged by using the online link above.
 
  • When: Saturday, October 9th
  • Check-in: 1:00PM
  • Clinic: 1:30-3:30PM
  • Where: Talbot County Community Center Fields
  • Fee: No Fee. Donations to the EHS Field Hockey Program are accepted.
  • Players will need a stick, cleats, mouth guard, athletic clothing, and water
 
Donations collected the day of the clinic. If you would like to make a donation, please make checks out to Easton High School SOS Field Hockey. Cash, Check, and Venmo donations are appreciated. 

Spring Field Hockey Clinic

Join us as Coaches Julie Corson, Carolyn Lasako, and Kaitlin Ewing teach the fundamentals of field hockey for a six-week clinic this spring! This clinic is offered for youth in grades K-8th who are interested in learning and improving their field hockey skills. The clinic is for all skill levels!

Registration Deadline: April 8th, 2021

  • Fee: $45 per participant ($10 Late Fee)
  • Who: Girls K-8th
  • Clinic Runs: Wednesdays, April 21st-May 26th
  • Where: Talbot County Community Center Fields & Arena
  • Time: Grades K-2nd: 5:00-6:00PM; Grades 3rd-5th: 6:00-7:00PM; Grades 6th-8th: 7:00-8:00PM.

Basketball

Talbot Youth Basketball League 2022

The Talbot Youth Basketball League is available to boys and girls grades 1st-8th. This is not a co-ed league. Each team will practice one evening per week followed by games on Saturdays for 8 weeks. Each player will receive a team shirt and basketball.

  • Where: Easton High School or Easton Middle School
  • Registration Begins: October 25th
  • Registration Deadline: December 9th
  • Practices Begin: The week of January 3rd
  • Games Begin: January 8th, 2022

 

Players will be drafted to teams. Requests will NOT be accepted. Adjustments will NOT be made once team selection has been completed.

Per TCPS, masks/face coverings are required by all players, spectators, coaches, and officials at all times. Mask/face coverings will be suggested, but not be required to be worn by players while actively playing. Please note: we will adequately adjust our protocols as necessary to ensure the safety of all players, coaches, and spectators.

Youth Basketball Clinic 2021

Easton High School’s Varsity Boy’s Assistant Coach, Kentrell Ricketts, will be leading our Summer Basketball Clinic. The clinic is for boys and girls of all levels who want to learn or extend their on-court skills. Basic fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, offense, defense, and footwork will be emphasized as well as proper conditioning for the sport of basketball during this 6-week clinic.

Volleyball

Youth Volleyball Clinic 2021

Join us in learning the proper technique of volleyball fundamentals such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, and rules of the game. Easton High School’s Assistant Coach Rebekah Byrnes will be leading our clinic by conducting drills, physically distanced games, and other activities to help participants improve hand-eye coordination, footwork, agility, and communication with an emphasis on “FUN”damentals and teamwork.

Keep your soccer skills fresh by participating in our 6-week Indoor Summer Soccer Clinic at the Talbot County Community Center. Bayshore SC’s President, Frank Titz, will be leading our clinic by conducting drills, games, and other activities to help participants improve hand-foot coordination, agility, speed, and game play.

Explore age appropriate creative movement and encourage small and large motor skill development through music and dance! Join us for this fun morning dance class with To the Pointe Dance Company instructor, Bri Garland. Dancers should wear comfortable athletic or dance attire along with Ballet slippers or bare feet.

FAIRYTALE PARTY BALLET

Explore dance through your favorite princesses and fairytale characters! Each week we will be themed as follows: Getting to Know You, Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, Frozen Adventure, The Little Mermaid, Be YOUnique. Princess/Fairytale Character attire is encouraged. Please be sure to wear dance or athletic attire under your dress up outfits. Ballet slippers or bare feet acceptable.

  • Session 2: Thursdays, 5:30-6:15PM

HEROES & VILLAINS BALLET

This class introduces the young dancer to the world of Ballet through beginning Ballet coordination, technique, and vocabulary, along with an introduction to famous Ballerinas and Ballet Stories, focusing on the heroes and villains of some of our most beloved Ballets. Each week will be themed as follows: Character, Mime, Ballet Basics; Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Firebird, Alice in Wonderland, The Nutcracker.

Recreation Program Information

We make the registration process easy by offering various ways to register for our programs! We offer online registration, registration by mail, registration by fax, registration by e-mail, or you can simply stop by to see us. If you choose to complete a registration form by fax or e-mail we will contact you for payment once we receive the registration form. Registration forms will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 4:30 PM.

If Talbot County Parks and Recreation cancels a program for any reason, a full refund will be given. If you withdraw three business days prior to the start of the program, you will receive a full refund. No refund will be given if you cancel after the program or event has taken place. No cash refunds will be given. Refunds take 14-21 days to be processed or a credit will be added to your account.
