Bus Trips
Spring in New York City
We’re going to NYC this May! Join us on a bus trip to New York City with 8 hours to spend on your own. Spring is the perfect time to visit beautiful Central Park, go shopping in Times Square, take a tour of the city, or see a Broadway show! The bus will be dropping off riders at Macy’s near Times Square.
- When: Saturday, May 4th, 2024
- Fee: $90 per person, includes taxes and gratuity
- Time: 5:00AM departing from Talbot County Community Center
- Arrival to New York City: Approx. 10:00AM
- Departure from NYC: 6:00PM
Christmas in New York City
It’s the most wonderful time of the year to take a trip to New York City with 8 hours to explore on your own. Go shopping, see a play, or take a tour of the city all while enjoying the beautiful Christmas scenery. The bus will be dropping riders off at Macy’s near Times Square. Register early as spaces are LIMITED!

Community Yard Sale
The Talbot County Parks & Recreation Community Yard Sale returns this Spring. This is the perfect opportunity to get some spring cleaning done and sell your items at the this community-wide sale. Clean out your garages, attics, basements, and closets! One person’s trash is another’s treasure!
- Fee: $10 per parking space; $5 per table (chairs not provided)
- Public Admission: FREE!
- Where: Talbot County Community Center Parking Lot

- Sale Time: 6:30am-12:00pm
Decoy Tailgate Show
Our Annual Decoy Tailgate Show takes place before the Talbot County Waterfowl Festival in November and features over 150 different vendors from all over the country. Vendors display and have working decoys, carved decoys, art work, sculptures, antiques, and more for sale.
- Fee: $30 per space per day for vendor spot (Reserve all 3 days for only $75!)
- Public Admission: FREE!
- Where: Talbot County Community Center Parking Lot

Halloween BOOnanza!
Come have a SPOOKtacular time at Talbot County Community Center! This family fun event includes ice skating, trick-or-treating, face painting, photo opportunities, and more! Don’t miss your chance to show off your fun costume! This is an event for all ages! No pre-registration required. Pay at door. Cash only!

Skate with Santa
Skate with Santa
Santa will be taking a break from his busy schedule at the North Pole to visit the Talbot County Community Center to share holiday memories with the whole family! Kids will have an opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap to reveal their seasonal wishes and receive a special gift! Please bring your own camera to take a memorable photograph with Santa. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. Pre-registration is required as Santa’s helpers need to maintain quantity and quality skates and gifts.
- Fee: $20 per child 13 & under

Valentine Ice Skates
Daddy Daughter Valentine Ice Skate
Make Valentine’s Day extra special by coming to ice skate with your daughter at the 9th Annual Daddy Daughter Valentine Ice Skate at the Talbot County Community Center. Come and enjoy a night full of fun, excitement, and skating complete with refreshments, party music, door prizes, and a complimentary photo shoot. Pre-registration is required.

Mother Son Valentine Ice Skate
Start a brand new Valentine’s tradition with your sons at the 3rd Annual Mother Son Skate! Moms and sons are invited to enjoy an evening of ice skating, refreshments, fun music, door prizes, and photo opportunities. Come dressed in party attire or casual wear for the perfect skating date night! Pre-registration is required.
